A confusing aspect of bad dreams is that different people call them different things. Some call them "frustrating dreams," "anxiety dreams," or "bizarre dreams" as well as the more traditional "nightmares" and "bad dreams". The key to eliminating this confusion is to recognize that what you call your disturbing dreams is not nearly as important as how much they disturb you. The extent to which your bad dreams disturb you is the single biggest factor in determining whether or not you suffer from what is called a "Nightmare Disorder". Thus, you alone, are likely to be the best judge of your nightmare problem. Some people have many nightmares but aren't bothered by them. Some people have just a few and are extremely disturbed by them.
